How do I upload photos?

Photos are uploaded using the Photo Manager tool when editing your profile. A Basic Member can upload a total of 25 photos and can classify those photos as public, private or adult. Keep in mind that adult and private photos can only be viewed by Premium Members. However, even a Premium Member can't view a private photo until you give that member permission. Your primary photo, the photo that displays throughout the site in chat, mini profile, mail, etc., can only be a public photo that has been rated by gay.com. Your primary photo cannot be an adult photo. However, your primary photo may be private but only viewable by Premium Members that you have unlocked the photo for. Basic Members or Premium Member's who have not unlocked your private photo for will see a private photo mask.

Please make sure your photos are in one of the following formats: jpeg, png, bmp, gif and jpg. Photos that are not in the correct format or those files that are very large will not upload properly and may result in an error.

If the photo or photo caption is cut off, resize your window to see the full photo or photo caption.

If your photo includes adult content, you must select this option when you upload the photo. Not tagging your photos appropriately could cause your photo to be deleted and, in severe cases, the deletion of your account. More information about adult photos is below.

I want to be bigger? Why are my photos smaller than those on some other profiles?

Member-uploaded images can be up to 5MB in size. Our largest display size is 572 x 572 pixels (the size as it appears on your photo detail page). If the images you uploaded are not displaying at that size, it could be because your photo source file is of a smaller size. Simply delete the smaller photo file from your gay.com profile and upload a larger photo file to see it display in the larger size. Square images tend to display the best.
